About

07th-Mod's python-patcher is a cross-platform installer, written in Python, used to install all of 07th-mod's fan mods for the Higurashi and Umineko visual novels. It provides a graphical installer, a text-based interactive fallback for when the GUI fails, and a separate command-line interface for advanced users; mod definitions and download-size data are normally fetched live from GitHub, with a developer mode that prefers local files instead.

Getting started

Most users should get the installer from the project's releases download page rather than building it themselves — the bulk of the repository's documentation is aimed at developers working on the installer. If the graphical installer doesn't work, a text-mode interactive installer is available as a fallback, and advanced users can drive it through its command-line interface instead.
