About
Ambermoon.net is a full C# rewrite of the original Ambermoon RPG, built to run on Windows, Linux, and Mac, including native Apple Silicon builds. It bundles both the original game (version 1.20) and a fan-made extension called Ambermoon Advanced, and is actively maintained with versioned releases, in-game and file-based configuration, and community-contributed French and Polish translations.
How it differs from the original
Compared with the original Amiga release, this rewrite adds an auto-battle option and an expanded quest log, both credited to community contributors, alongside custom music support that lets players swap in their own tracks (including partially converted Atari ST versions of the soundtrack).
Getting started
Prebuilt downloads are available for 64-bit Windows, Linux, and Mac (Intel and Apple Silicon), plus a 32-bit Windows build; a bundled FAQ and a beginner's guide are provided for players new to the game. Movement uses the arrow keys or WASD, F1–F6 open party members' inventories, number keys switch the active party member, and Ctrl+0–9 quicksaves.

Additional notes
- Related project
- The same author also maintains a rewrite of The Settlers (freeserf.net) and a separate 'Ambermoon Advanced' extension that requires this engine to run.
- Quirk
- Custom Atari ST music can be dropped into a folder next to the executable, but only 13 of the original 32 soundtrack tracks have been converted to Atari versions so far.
