About
This is the original Commodore 64 conversion source code for Atomic Robo-Kid, released by its own developer, Michael J Archer. It's a multi-loader build spanning many levels, dumped directly from the author's personal backup folders.
History
The C64 port's developer released his personal archive of the source, noting he has largely forgotten how the code fits together and that it was originally built using a cross-development toolchain (on a PC) that isn't set up to assemble cleanly today.
Known limitations
- compatibility: Source code incomplete; complex multi-loader parts not documented for modern cross-development.
Additional notes
- Trivia
- The sprite-multiplexing code reportedly handles up to 22 on-screen sprites at once, though the author admits it "works, but badly sometimes."
