About
Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja is a 1988 arcade beat-'em-up published by Data East. This is an Amiga AGA port that runs the arcade game's original 68000 code directly, with patches redirecting its graphics and sound calls to Amiga hardware, rather than being a full rewrite. The author describes it as fully playable but still missing some content and containing bugs.
How it differs from the original
Because the original arcade program code runs largely unmodified, the port is unusually close to the arcade version at the code level; known gaps include missing parallax scrolling on levels 4 and 6 and no two-player mode yet, both planned for a future update.
Getting started
It requires a PAL Amiga 1200 or 4000 with fast memory and WHDLoad installed. Controls use a two-button joystick or keyboard (arrow keys to move, Ctrl to attack, Alt to jump), with 1 to start a game and 5 to insert a coin.
Known limitations
- features: Game is fully playable but has many missing features and bugs; next version will add parallax scrolling in levels 4 and 6 and additional 2 player modes.
