Soko-Ban is a 1984 MS-DOS puzzle game. Bansoko is a space-themed reimagining of the 1984 MS-DOS game Soko-Ban, including all 60 of the original's levels plus an ending, with fully documented MIT-licensed source code and mod support for custom level packs and reskins. It runs on Windows 10 (64-bit) and Ubuntu 20.04 (64-bit).
How it differs from the original
The setting is reskinned as a sci-fi scenario — a scavenger remotely piloting a robot to push cargo crates in abandoned space ships — rather than the original's theme, though it reuses the 60 original DOS Soko-Ban level layouts.
Getting started
Download the package for your OS, extract it, and run the bansoko executable. Controls are the arrow keys to move and push crates, plus an undo command that can reverse any number of steps; save files are stored in a .bansoko folder in your home directory.
