About
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is a turn-based survival game set in a persistent, procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world, where players scavenge for food, equipment and vehicles while fighting zombies and other monsters. It runs on Linux, macOS, Windows, Android and in the browser, is actively developed with contributions from over 1000 volunteers, and its code and content are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license (some bundled files carry their own separate licenses).
Getting started
Packaged builds are available for Arch Linux, Fedora, Debian/Ubuntu and via Flatpak; alternatively the source can be downloaded and compiled following the project's build guides for Linux, macOS, Windows and BSD. In-game, a tutorial is available from the Special menu (though it may not always function correctly due to code changes), and full documentation can be accessed at any time with the '?' key.
