Cloned Games

Albion: 2 Open Source Clones Compared

SR and UAlbion take different technical routes to reviving Albion: SR statically recompiles the original DOS or Windows executable into a native binary rather than rewriting the game, needing only that original executable as input. UAlbion is a from-scratch C#/.NET remake that currently has no working combat or magic system at all, along with missing 3D lighting, collision detection, and automap support, so it isn't yet a complete way to experience the game the way a recompiled original would be.
