Cloned Games

Elevator Action: 3 Open Source Clones Compared

Elevator Action (the Unreal Engine 4 version) is a full 3D reimagining rather than a faithful reproduction, with an endless multi-floor office in place of the original's fixed levels, and it uses licensed third-party asset packs instead of original artwork. Elevator_Action is a from-scratch NES implementation written in 6502 assembly, meant to be opened and run directly inside the browser-based 8bitworkshop emulator rather than built as a standalone program. ElevatorActionPhaser, a Phaser/ES6 browser remake, is catalogued as unplayable because development stopped before even the first level was finished, even though player movement, shooting, and enemy spawning were already implemented.
