Galaforce: 2 Open Source Clones Compared

Both are the same developer's own release of the original 1986 Galaforce assembly source, reworked to build with the modern BeebAsm toolchain, but each disk image targets a different machine. The BBC Micro version uses the platform's 16-colour screen mode, while the Acorn Electron version runs in a 4-colour mode for performance and has only one music sound channel. The Electron build additionally adds support for Plus 1 and First Byte joysticks, a feature not mentioned for the BBC Micro release.
