Star Trek: 5 Open Source Clones Compared
Star Trek 1971 for Python isn't derived from the original 1971 BASIC code directly -- its own README says the author took BaconBytes.StarTrek's C# rewrite and converted that to Python. BaconBytes.StarTrek itself preserves the unmodified original BASIC source alongside three separate C# versions: a literal line-by-line port, a cleaned-up rewrite, and an object-oriented console version. Seed7 isn't a dedicated Star Trek clone either -- it's a general-purpose programming language and compiler project.
