About

Dink Smallwood is a 1997 action RPG created by RTsoft (Seth A. Robinson, Justin Martin, Greg Smith, and Shawn Teal), with additional music by Joel Bakker and Mitch Brink. Dink Smallwood HD is an enhanced, portable version of the original 1997 game, adding smooth-scrolling high-resolution rendering, gamepad and touchscreen support, and quick save/load. It's distributed prebuilt for Windows, macOS, Linux (via Flatpak), iOS (App Store), and Android (Google Play), and can also be built from source for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and HTML5 using the Proton SDK.

How it differs from the original

Beyond the rendering and control upgrades, Dink HD adds a built-in browser that can download and install hundreds of fan-made add-on quests (DMODs) from The Dink Network, a feature not present in the original 1997 release.

Getting started

Prebuilt installers/packages are available for Windows, macOS, Linux (Flatpak), iOS, and Android; Linux users can alternatively build and run it from source with a single setup script.

Additional notes

Trust/signing
The Windows installer is code-signed by Seth A. Robinson and the macOS app is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, so neither should trigger OS security warnings.
