About
Push-Over (Pushover) is a 1992 puzzle-platform game developed by Red Rat Software and published by Ocean Software for Amiga, Atari ST, MS-DOS, and SNES, in which the player controls G.I. Ant to arrange and topple a chain of dominoes; the Amiga/DOS/ST versions were themed around Smiths' Quavers snack brand, while the SNES version replaced that branding with bundles of cash. Domino-Chain is a free, open-source puzzle game for Windows, Linux, and other platforms built from source, where the player rearranges different types of dominoes across connected platforms to trigger a single chain reaction that topples every domino; the developers describe it as a faithful reincarnation of Pushover, built in C++ with SDL2.
How it differs from the original
Compared to Pushover, it adds new levels, additional domino types, including a new 'Quantum' domino not present in the original, higher-resolution graphics, and new music, while also supporting loading and playing Pushover's own original levels if the player owns a copy of that game.
Getting started
It's packaged for Debian/Ubuntu/Mint-based Linux distributions, available as a downloadable archive for Windows, or can be built from source; macOS is not yet officially supported. The player character is controlled with the cursor keys and space bar to move, pick up, and push dominoes.
