About

Dungeon Craft is based on Forgotten Realms: Unlimited Adventures (FRUA), a computer game released in 1993. Dungeon Craft is a Windows desktop application written in C++ that updates and extends the Gold Box engine and dungeon-design tools used by FRUA. The readme describes it as an emulator with many of FRUA's hard-coded limits raised and support for higher-resolution graphics assets.

How it differs from the original

Compared to the original FRUA and its Gold Box engine tooling, the readme states many hard-coded limits have been increased and higher-resolution graphics are supported.

Getting started

A compiled Windows game binary (UAFWin) and a separate dungeon editor binary (UAFWinEd) are provided in the repository; the readme also notes a WebGL/Unity build folder that appears to be a browser-playable version, though not fully confirmed.

History

The readme notes the project was previously known as Unlimited Adventures Forever / UAForever (UAF), and links its former official website, project homepage, forum, and chat room.
