About
Even the Ocean is the official open-source release of Analgesic Productions' (Melos Han-Tani and Marina Kittaka) narrative action platformer, in which Aliph, a power-plant technician, must balance Light and Dark energy to save Whiteforge City. It runs on Windows and Mac at a locked 60 FPS on most hardware (with a 30 FPS mode for lower-end machines), and supports Simplified Chinese, English, Spanish, Russian, and German, with Japanese and Traditional Chinese planned.
Getting started
Players can choose between Complete, Story-only, or Gameplay-only modes to tailor the experience. Some Mac users report display issues at high scaling resolutions or intermittent audio dropouts, both usually fixed by lowering the resolution or switching to the 30 FPS mode.
History
The game received minor post-release patches in early 2019 (versions 1.023–1.024) that added Mac support and fixed some in-game names.
Known limitations
