About
This repository is the original 6502 assembly source code for the Atari 400/800 game Fort Apocalypse, released by its author for historical preservation. Building it requires the SynAssembler assembler; the repo also includes the original level data files and sound effects recaptured from the game.
Getting started
To actually run it, the source must be assembled with SynAssembler; there's no prebuilt playable release included in the repo.
History
The source was originally copyrighted by Steve Hales in 1995, with further copyright dates in 2007 and 2015, and was released later for historical purposes under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives license.
