Frogger 2 (Game Boy Color)

This repository is the official archived source code for Frogger 2 (Game Boy Color), developed by Morning Star Media (programmer David Lubar) and reorganized with added documentation by preservationist Kneesnap. It builds a byte-perfect match of the final retail ROM, Frogger 2 (USA) (Rev 1), using a 16-bit DOS toolchain that requires an environment like DOSBox to run.

Getting started

Mount the repository folder in DOSBox, switch to that drive, and run MAKE.BAT to assemble the ROM, which is produced as frogger2.bin.

History

The repository can reproduce two known retail builds: the original July 2000 US release, and an August 2000 revision whose only change was removing a mention of Atari Inc. from the legal screen. It also preserves an earlier April 2000 source backup and a separate sound-test prototype ROM.
