About
GNUSki is an open-source clone of the classic Windows game SkiFree, currently rendered using NCurses for terminal-based graphics. It's packaged for distribution via Homebrew, Termux, and SlackBuilds, among other channels.
How it differs from the original
It replaces the original SkiFree's graphical Windows presentation with NCurses-based terminal graphics.
Getting started
It can be installed via Homebrew, as a Termux package on Android, or from SlackBuilds for Slackware 14.0, among other distribution channels listed in the README.
History
Development dates back to at least 2005; a 2007 update note in the README says the project had been revived after a period of dormancy, with a GTK or Qt version planned at the time.
