About
Jail Break is credited in this project as a Konami-developed original game. Jail Break is an Amiga remake offered in three versions — an AGA version running at 50fps with 32 colours on a stock Amiga 1200, and two ECS versions (32 or 16 colours) needing more chip memory and a faster CPU — playable with a 2-button joystick or keyboard. It's in a semi-complete, beta state.
Getting started
Controls are arrow keys or joystick to move, Ctrl/red to shoot, Alt/blue to change weapon, and 1/2 or up/down to start a one- or two-player game; if an ECS version runs choppy on slower hardware, an optional 25fps mode can be enabled to improve speed at the cost of smoothness.
Known limitations
- platform: ECS versions require faster CPU than 68000 for playable speed; game not very fast on ECS but can be enjoyed on non-AGA machines with fast CPU.
