About
Gauntlet is a 1985 Atari Games arcade dungeon-crawler and one of the first multiplayer games of its kind; its core design was drawn from the 1983 Atari 8-bit game Dandy, which led to a threat of legal action, and it also shares similarities with the 1983 game Time Bandit. Javascript Gauntlet is an HTML5 canvas game modeled on Gauntlet, released under the MIT license and supported on Chrome 24+, Firefox 18+, or IE9+, with no touch/mobile support. Development has halted.
How it differs from the original
Unlike Gauntlet's original multiplayer arcade design, this version currently supports single-player only — multiplayer was planned but never implemented.
