About
Nebulus is a vertically scrolling platform game created by John M. Phillips and published by Hewson Consultants in the late 1980s, in which the player climbs a rotating cylindrical tower studded with platforms; it was released internationally under names including Castelian, Kyorochan Land, Subline, and Tower Toppler. Javascript Tower Platformer is an HTML5 homage to Nebulus's rotating-tower platforming concept, released under the MIT license and playable in any modern browser with canvas support. Development halted at a semi-complete stage, with a level exit, menu, multiple levels, sound, and mobile touch support all listed as unimplemented future features.
How it differs from the original
Unlike the original, there is currently no way to exit or complete a level — that feature, along with support for multiple levels, was planned but never implemented.
