About
Witchaven is a 1995 dark fantasy first-person shooter developed by Capstone Software and published by Intracorp Entertainment, built on an early version of the Build engine, followed by a 1996 sequel. This is a source port of Witchaven built on the author's own port of Ken Silverman's Build engine, based on source code released by Les Bird. It runs on Windows and macOS, targeting x86, x86_64, PowerPC, and ARM hardware, though the project's listed status is currently unplayable.
How it differs from the original
The port requires original Witchaven data files (.art and .map assets, palette.dat, lookup.dat, sound and song files, and the intro video) rather than bundling any original assets itself.
Getting started
Running the game requires original Witchaven data files, which are not included with the port.

- Licensing
- The README includes an unexplained warning from the author to "not talk about the licensing" of this port.
