About
Metroid is Nintendo's 1986 action-adventure game, first released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System, in which Samus Aran fights Space Pirates on the planet Zebes. MiniMetroid is a small browser game based on Metroid, with keyboard or gamepad controls. The player collects items, defeats the mini-bosses Kraid and Ridley, then defeats Mother Brain and escapes.
How it differs from the original
The Ice Beam, Wave Beam and Screw Attack are left out. Collecting missiles powers up the beam instead, letting it break red and yellow gates.
Getting started
Play it in the browser on the project's GitHub Pages site. Z or Ctrl jumps, X or Shift attacks, the arrow keys move, Up aims upward and Down curls into a ball; gamepads are also supported.
