About
Mortal Kombat is an American media franchise built around a series of fighting games, first developed by Midway Games in 1992. mk.js is a simple Mortal Kombat-style fighting game built with HTML5 canvas and JavaScript. It has three modes: a basic mode with one active player, local two-player multiplayer on one computer, and a network mode for two players.
How it differs from the original
It adds a browser network mode, where two players join a match by entering the same game name, using a small Node.js server.
Getting started
The local multiplayer mode can be played online at mk.mgechev.com. For network play, install and start the included Node.js server, open it in a browser on port 55555, and have both players enter the same game name.
