No One Lives Forever Modernizer

About
The Operative: No One Lives Forever is a first-person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and released for Windows in 2000. No One Lives Forever Modernizer is a Windows patch for the original NOLF that fixes long-standing bugs and performance issues and adapts the game to larger resolutions. It adds working out-of-the-box multiplayer, a 60fps frame cap, a fixed mouse stutter, HUD scaling and a jukebox, supports the Game of the Year edition, and requires an installed copy of the game.
How it differs from the original
Beyond the fixes, it adds a developer console, many new config options (HUD scale, framerate lock, 4:3 cinematics, quick weapon switching), a windowed-mode toggle, anisotropic filtering, a jukebox and a "Big Head Mode". GameSpy was patched out of servers and the server browser, and the master server now points to openspy.net.
Getting started
Download a release and install it over your copy of NOLF; the Visual C++ 2019 redistributable is required. Intel HD graphics users should enable the "Intel HD Graphics Fix" in Display options to avoid black screens underwater.
Known limitations
- compatibility: Non-QWERTY keyboard layouts are not properly supported due to Lithtech engine limitations.
- features: Controller support is bare bones and only partially implemented during gameplay.
