About
Super Hexagon is an action game by independent developer Terry Cavanagh with music by Chipzel, first released for iOS in September 2012. Open Hexagon is an open-source arcade game inspired by Super Hexagon, available on Steam for Windows and Linux. Players survive as long as possible using four actions (spin clockwise, spin counter-clockwise, 180° swap, and focus to slow down), and it has online leaderboards backed by a replay system and a cheat-prevention server.
How it differs from the original
It adds a 180° swap mechanic, curving and accelerating walls, and levels scriptable in Lua, and players can adjust level speed, colors, and rendering. Its soundtrack is by BOSSFIGHT, Dunderpatrullen, and Fantomenk.
