About
Hard Vacuum is a real-time strategy game design by Daniel Cook. OpenHV is a standalone open-content real-time strategy game built as a mod for the OpenRA engine, based on Daniel Cook's Hard Vacuum design. It has LAN and internet multiplayer, skirmish bots, an integrated map editor, spectator support and shareable replays, on Windows, Linux and macOS.
How it differs from the original
It is not a recreation of an existing game: it uses the Hard Vacuum design as its basis, with a far-future setting of mega-corporations at war, and all content is openly licensed.
Getting started
Packaged builds are available for several platforms; from source, run make.cmd (Windows) or make (Linux/macOS), then the launch-game script.
