About

Dungeon Keeper 2 is a 1999 strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts for Windows, in which the player builds and defends an underground dungeon. OpenKeeper is an open-source remake of Dungeon Keeper II and its engine, written in Java with jMonkeyEngine. It aims to fully implement version 1.7 with its three bonus packs using the original game assets, and is not yet playable.

How it differs from the original

The goal is minimal or no changes from the original; fan-made graphics that would allow a standalone version are mentioned only as possible future work.

Getting started

The original Dungeon Keeper II game files are required. Builds are available from the project's CI, and a setup guide is on the project wiki.
