About
One Must Fall: 2097 is a 1994 DOS fighting game by Diversions Entertainment, published by Epic MegaGames and declared freeware in 1999. OpenOMF is an open-source remake of One Must Fall 2097 for Linux, macOS, Windows and BSD, with easier networked multiplayer. It is playable and actively developed under the MIT License.
How it differs from the original
It replaces the original DOS game's hard-to-set-up IPX networking with modern networking and runs natively on several platforms.
Getting started
Download a release: an AppImage for Linux, a .deb package for Ubuntu, or a zip for Windows. A build guide is included in the repository for compiling from source.
History
The community made it because the original 1994 DOS game relied on IPX networking that was hard to set up, and players wanted an easier way to keep playing.
