opsu!

About
osu! is a rhythm game by Dean Herbert. opsu! is based on its game concepts and designs. opsu! is an unofficial open-source client for the rhythm game osu!, written in Java with Slick2D and LWJGL. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and a separate libGDX port supports Android. Development has halted.
How it differs from the original
It supports custom skins, saves replays as .osr files you can share, and can download beatmaps directly from its own menu.
Getting started
Download a release and run it with Java 7 or newer. You need beatmaps, which you can download in the game or import from .osz files; if osu! is installed, opsu! reads its beatmaps automatically. You may need to adjust the Music Offset setting if notes are out of sync.
