Frontier: Elite II is a 1993 space trading and combat simulator by David Braben, the first sequel to Elite, which added realistic physics and an accurately modelled galaxy. Pioneer is an open-ended space adventure game set in the Milky Way at the turn of the 31st century. Players can explore millions of star systems, land on planets, trade, turn to piracy, or take missions for competing factions. It is GPLv3-licensed and runs on Windows and Linux.
Getting started
The latest build can be downloaded from the project's website, and a compiling guide is included in the repository for building from source. The project wiki has a manual, a basic flight guide and a list of keyboard and mouse controls.
