About
Pokémon Uranium is a fan-made game in the Pokémon series, made with the Pokémon Essentials add-on for RPG Maker XP by users ~JV~ and Involuntary Twitch over nine years of development, featuring original Fakemon alongside existing Pokémon species; it fully released on August 6, 2016. Project-Uranium-Godot is a work-in-progress reimplementation of Pokémon Uranium's engine in the Godot Engine, aiming to fix technical flaws in the original RPG Maker XP version by using a modern, genuinely cross-platform engine. Only a limited portion of the game is currently playable.
How it differs from the original
It only reimplements the engine and code — all game assets must still be obtained separately from the original Pokémon Uranium release — and targets platforms the original RPG Maker XP version couldn't reach natively, including macOS, Linux, *BSD, Android, iOS, and web browsers.
Getting started
Setup and build instructions are provided in the project's wiki; players need their own copy of the original Pokémon Uranium assets, since the repository only contains the Godot engine project and source code.
Known limitations
- completeness: Only a limited portion of the game is playable currently.
