About
Tetris (NES) is Nintendo's 1989 Nintendo Entertainment System adaptation of Alexey Pajitnov's original 1985 puzzle game, released after a legal dispute between Nintendo and Atari Games over console rights. Quadris is a standalone, open-source clone of NES Tetris built in C# with MonoGame, reproducing the NES version's scoring, level progression, and gravity rules, along with a next-piece preview window, line-clear and game-over animations, and persistent highscores with date logging.
Getting started
Pieces are moved with the arrow keys, hard-dropped with X, and rotated with Z; menus are navigated with Up/Down and Enter, and Escape returns from the highscores screen to the main menu. It requires the .NET 8 runtime and MonoGame to run.
