About
Radix: Beyond the Void is a 1995 2.5D first-person shooter developed by Neural Storm Entertainment and published by Epic MegaGames for MS-DOS. RAD is a from-scratch engine recreation of Radix: Beyond the Void for Windows, adding high-resolution and true-color software rendering alongside an OpenGL renderer, dynamic lights, a textured automap, an uncapped framerate, and support for Doom-style level-editing tools with advanced PascalScript scripting.
How it differs from the original
Adds modern engine features absent from the 1995 original — OpenGL rendering, dynamic lighting, higher resolutions, an uncapped framerate, and MOD/S3M/IT/XM tracker music support — while still requiring the original game's data to run.
Getting started
You'll need the original DOS release's game data (specifically the version 2 remix release) to play. Windows builds are available as direct downloads from the project, and an in-game menu lets you configure gameplay, key bindings, and screen resolution.
