About

Raid 2020 is a 1989 cyberpunk action video game for the NES, developed by Dan Burke and Frank Waung and published by Color Dreams, a studio known for unlicensed NES releases. This project transfers the original Raid 2020 source code to the CA65 assembler and makes it compatible with the browser-based 8bitworkshop IDE, letting the NES game be built and run directly from a web tool rather than a local development toolchain.

How it differs from the original

The game itself is unchanged; the only difference from the original release is the build toolchain, transferred from the original assembler to CA65 for compatibility with 8bitworkshop.

Getting started

The project can be opened and run directly in the browser-based 8bitworkshop tool via a link provided by the project, without setting up a local NES development toolchain.
