The tool targets games in Dynamix's mech-simulation Earthsiege/Starsiege universe — including 1994's Metaltech: Earthsiege, its sequel Earthsiege 2 (1996), and 1999's Starsiege — as well as other Dynamix titles such as Red Baron and the Tribes series. Siege Studio is a tool for browsing, converting, and extracting reverse-engineered file formats from 1990s/2000s Dynamix games such as Earthsiege, Starsiege, Tribes, and Red Baron, built from a set of static and dynamic library modules for parsing formats like Phoenix Bitmap and Dynamix 3Space Shape. It's the open-source counterpart to a commercial product, Siege Launcher, which shares the same architecture but adds extra compatibility and playback-focused modules.
Getting started
Build with the Conan package manager using the provided debug or release build commands; the compiled tool then appears in the project's build output folder.
