About

Tread Marks is a 3D tank combat and racing game by Longbow Digital Arts that won the 2000 Independent Games Festival's grand prize (later renamed in honor of the game's lead programmer) and was notable for its fully deformable terrain. Tread Marks (SDL2) is an unofficial Linux and OpenPandora port of the open-sourced tank racing/combat game Tread Marks, built with CMake, SDL2, GLEW, and SFML. It supports 64-bit builds, and the README notes that network/multiplayer mode hasn't been verified to work on that build.

Getting started

Build it with CMake using SDL2, GLEW, and SFML (2.x); an optional Qt5 dependency enables a dedicated server, which is disabled by default. A 32-bit build is available for users on 64-bit Linux by adding an extra compiler flag, since the 64-bit build's network mode hasn't been confirmed to work.
