About
Mad TV is a 1991 television-station management simulation published by Rainbow Arts, in which the player acts as a new program director choosing programming and earning advertising revenue for their station. TVTower is a free, open-source tribute to Mad TV, casting the player as the manager of a television channel who schedules programming, earns money through commercial breaks, and tries to drive rival channels to bankruptcy, all while keeping viewers watching with news and live broadcasts. It's built for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and is playable in both English and German.
Getting started
On Windows or Mac, just run the appropriate downloaded executable — no extra packages are required. On Linux, use the included launch script, which also creates a desktop entry for the game; 64-bit Ubuntu users running the 32-bit build may need to install several 32-bit compatibility libraries through their package manager first.
