About
Xenon 2: Megablast is a 1989 shoot-'em-up developed by The Bitmap Brothers for the Amiga and Atari ST, a sequel to Xenon in which players destroy bombs planted throughout history by the vengeful Xenites. TypeScript Xenon preserves the original C++ source code and graphics of a Bitmap Brothers game called Xenon, along with two TypeScript conversions of it — an original port built with Visual Studio, and an updated 2023 version built with VSCode — with the TypeScript version playable directly in a browser.
Getting started
The TypeScript conversion can be played directly in a web browser, with no installation required.
History
The original Xenon preserved in this repository was created as a Personal Computer Format (PC Format) magazine project in 2000, featured in the magazine and distributed on its cover discs.
