About

World Builder is a 1986 Macintosh game-creation system by Silicon Beach Software's Bill Appleton, used to build point-and-click text-and-graphics adventure games (it had already been used to create Enchanted Scepters in 1984); Appleton released it as freeware in 1995. WAGE (World Adventure Game Engine) is a game engine for running classic Macintosh graphic text-adventure games originally created with Bill Appleton's World Builder authoring system, letting those old World Builder-made adventures run again.
