About
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is a 2018 free-to-play digital collectible card game by CD Projekt, based on the card game featured within the Witcher novels and playable within The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Walic is an unofficial, open-source recreation of the last beta version of Gwent, built with libGDX, Korge, and KorIO under the Apache 2.0 license. It currently implements only 3 of the game's 5 factions and has multiple known bugs, and has no affiliation with CD Projekt Red.
How it differs from the original
Being based on an old beta build, Walic is missing 2 of Gwent's 5 factions and has multiple bugs not present in the finished commercial release.
Getting started
To play, download the latest build artifact (a desktop jar file) from the project. For a real multiplayer match rather than a computer opponent, one player must forward ports 2137 and 2138 and run as the server, while the other connects using that player's IP address.
