About
Rick Dangerous is a 1989 platform game developed by Core Design and published by MicroProse's Firebird Software label, loosely based on the Indiana Jones film franchise; it was followed by a sequel, Rick Dangerous 2, in 1990. xrick is a clone of Rick Dangerous produced by reverse-engineering the PC and Atari ST versions of the original and re-coding it in C. The repository packages two historical releases — a December 2002 build and a never-released, slightly cleaner May 2005 build — ported from SDL to SDL2 with adjustments for building with Emscripten; the project describes itself as still work-in-progress.
History
xrick was originally distributed only as zip files on a separate website; this repository's goal is to release the same code in a more convenient, consolidated way, including a never-published May 2005 build alongside the original December 2002 release.
