Alien Breed 3D: 2 Open Source Clones Compared
AB3D-RTG changes how the game renders, outputting through RTG (graphics-card) hardware instead of the Amiga's native chunky-to-planar display that the original used, but is currently marked unplayable. Alien Breed 3D I instead keeps the original rendering approach, requires the original game's data files to run, and adds a few conveniences the original lacked — an Esc-key shortcut to the shell, optional WASD movement, and level passwords saved automatically on exit — and is currently playable.
