opene2140 is a from-scratch C++17 reimplementation still in early, unplayable development, with only map drawing and basic entity/unit stats in place; orders, combat, the GUI and AI remain on its roadmap. opene2140-openra is a separate, actively developed remake built on the OpenRA engine that has reached a multiplayer alpha, with custom artwork for factions and new units. Both require original Earth 2140 game files to run, but only the OpenRA-based version is currently playable in any meaningful way.
