About
Earth 2140 is a 1997 2D real-time strategy game created by Poland's Reality Pump Studios and published by TopWare Interactive. OpenE2140 is a work-in-progress remake of Earth 2140 on the OpenRA engine, built with the OpenRA Mod SDK, with releases for Windows, Linux and macOS. It has reached a multiplayer alpha and requires original game files.
How it differs from the original
It includes custom artwork by contributors, such as faction sidebars, command bars, main menu art, cursors and animations, alongside artwork for new units.
Getting started
Download the release for your platform, then own Earth 2140 (from GOG, Steam, Zoom Platform or TopWare's shop); on first startup OpenE2140 installs the needed files from your copy by following on-screen instructions.
History
The original prototype was written by IceReaper, and the project has published regular preview videos since 2023, leading up to a multiplayer alpha trailer.
