Mayhem: 2 Open Source Clones Compared
Mayhem 2 was built on top of devpack's 2002 PC port of the original Amiga game, but only its first three levels come from that original — every other level is new content added by later contributors, along with features like DCA anti-spaceship guns and a Raspberry Pi port not present in the base port. The original PC port of Mayhem instead reuses the original Amiga game's graphics and sounds directly and stays closer to a straight port, matching the original's ship physics and controls.
