Omega Race: 3 Open Source Clones Compared
Torrega Race explicitly states it isn't meant to be a strict clone of Omega Race, using different enemies by design. StarMines: The Next Generation instead sticks closer to the source material as a reboot of an earlier Java game inspired by Omega Race and Asteroids, rebuilt for the browser with sprites pre-rendered from 3D models and an online leaderboard. Omega Race Remake has no accompanying description of its own. All three projects list development as halted, so platform and how closely each sticks to the original's design are the main practical differences.
