Dusklight
About
Dusklight is a reverse-engineered reimplementation of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, built on the community Twilight Princess decompilation project. It aims for high accuracy to the original while adding new options and enhancements, and requires a GPU supporting Direct3D12, Vulkan 1.1+, or Metal (with best-effort, lower-accuracy support for D3D11 and OpenGL ES on Android).
How it differs from the original
Because it's built on the GameCube-matching branch of the Twilight Princess decompilation, Dusklight shows the GameCube version's HUD and other GameCube-specific details even when played from a Wii disc. It supports all commercial discs except the Wii Korean release.
Getting started
Players must dump their own legally owned copy of the game — Dusklight ships no copyrighted assets — using a tool such as Dolphin, then follow the project's official installation guide to install and run it.
Known limitations
- compatibility: Requires GPU support for D3D12, Vulkan 1.1+, or Metal; older devices may experience reduced accuracy or performance with D3D11 or OpenGL ES.
