Forge

About

Forge is an open-source, community-built rules engine for playing Magic: The Gathering, implemented in Java and available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android, with an early-stage iOS build. It supports a single-player Adventure mode (overworld exploration with AI opponents), a faster Quest mode, and AI-opponent play in Sealed, Draft, Commander, and Cube formats.

Getting started

Desktop players download the latest release (or a daily snapshot build for the newest changes, extracted to its own folder to avoid conflicts with prior versions) and need Java 17 or later installed. On Android (11 or later, with at least 6GB RAM), the APK is downloaded from the snapshot builds and "install unknown apps" must be enabled; Forge then downloads its remaining assets on first launch.
