About
Ace of Spades was a 2012 first-person shooter and voxel-based sandbox game published by Jagex, originally created by Ben Aksoy as a 2011 prototype before Jagex acquired and fully released it; it was shut down in 2019 after poor reception. Iceball is an open-source, highly extensible engine and game that builds on the classic Ace of Spades experience, running on Windows, Linux, and macOS. The game code is GPLv3-licensed (with LGPLv3 for its Lua components and MIT for the launcher), and its assets are released under CC-BY-SA 3.0.
