About

Ken's Labyrinth is a 1993 first-person shooter for MS-DOS published by Epic MegaGames and programmed by Ken Silverman, who later created the Build engine used in Duke Nukem 3D. LAB3D/SDL is a port of Ken's Labyrinth to modern Windows and Unix systems, rewriting the original's input, graphics, sound, and music through SDL and OpenGL while keeping the original gameplay. It requires the original game's data files to run, was actively developed from 2002 through a long series of versioned releases, and supports multiple original Ken's Labyrinth releases (shareware and registered versions).

How it differs from the original

Adds OpenGL-accelerated, anti-aliased hi-res graphics with true-color and trilinear interpolation, big-endian CPU support, Adlib emulation, improved General MIDI music, multiple simultaneous sound effects, and game controller support, none of which were in the original DOS release.

Getting started

Requires the original Ken's Labyrinth data files. Installation and execution instructions are included in the repository, and command-line options let you set resolution, enable windowed mode, or disable sound and music.

Requires original assets. Requires original Ken's Labyrinth game files to run.
